- Synopsis:
-
Chris has become deputy-director of UNEXA, and thus will not accompany Tony, Morrey
and Serge on their next mission - to discover the reason for small changes in the
orbit of Pluto. When they arrive, they discover the cause is a super-dense wandering
planet, which they name Planet X. They then make a horrifying discovery - not only
have their fuel tanks been holed during the journey, but Planet X will decimate
the solar system!
- Commentary:
-
The last of the 'exploration' novels, as Walters' realistic approach to space travel
would not allow journeys to other stars to be attempted. The exploration of the
solar-system certainly ends with a bang rather than a whimper however!
